How to import reviews

Importing reviews allows you to bring in existing review content from sources that aren’t automatically synced — like reviews you’ve collected elsewhere or migrated from another tool. Flexi Review supports manual review imports using CSV (spreadsheet) files so you can showcase all reviews in one central place.

📥 Step-by-Step: Importing Reviews #

1. Log in to your Flexi Review account.

2. Go to Integrations in the main navigation.

3. Click on Custom Sources in the left sidebar.

This is where you’ll manage review sources that Flexi Review doesn’t sync automatically. You can add a custom source for review imports.

🆕 Create a Custom Review Source #

To import reviews from a source that isn’t natively supported:

1. Click Add New Source
2. Enter a Name for the source (required)
3. Enter the Domain (required) — e.g., your website or review origin
4. Optionally enter the URL customers should use to leave a review
5. Upload a logo for the source (this will be displayed with imported reviews)
6. Click Create

Once your custom source is created, reviews imported from that source will attach to it.

📤 Import the Reviews #

1. After creating your custom review source, navigate to Reviews via the top navigation.
2. Click Add Reviews.
3. From the dropdown, choose Import Reviews.
4. Select your CSV file.
5. Click Import.
6. The system will ask you to map the columns in your file to review fields (like reviewer name, rating, text, date).
7. Click Import again to confirm.

Flexi Review will process the file and display the imported reviews in your dashboard.

Your import file should be a CSV (comma-separated values) file formatted like this:

• Ensure the rating has numeric values (e.g., 1–5).
• Use consistent date formatting (YYYY-MM-DD recommended).
• Include a source column so imported reviews are tracked correctly.

• You can moderate them like any other review in Flexi Review
• Display them in review widgets
