How to create a review widget

Explore comprehensive documentation designed to help you get the most out of FlexiReviews. Quickly find guides, features, and step-by-step instructions using the search below, and access everything you need to set up, manage, and optimize your experience.

Review widgets let you display your reviews — from Google, Facebook, or other connected sources — on your website, landing pages, or marketing pages. A widget pulls live review content and presents it in an attractive, customizable format that builds trust and boosts conversions.

📌 What Is a Review Widget? #

A review widget is an embeddable block of content that shows your business’s reviews. Flexi Review generates a small piece of code you can paste into any website or platform that supports HTML — and the widget automatically loads fresh reviews from the sources you’ve connected.

Step-by-Step: Create a Review Widget #

1. Log in to Flexi Review #

Sign in to your account with the email and password you use for your dashboard.

2. Go to the Widgets Section #

From the main navigation, find and click Widgets — this is where all your review display tools are managed.

3. Click “Create New Widget” #

Click the button or link to start building a new review widget.

4. Choose Your Review Sources #

Select which connected review sources the widget should pull from (for example, Google Reviews, Facebook Reviews, or others you’ve synced).

  • You can include one source or combine multiple sources.
  • Some platforms let you filter to show only certain star ratings (e.g., 4- and 5-star reviews).

5. Customize the Widget Design #

Flexi Review will provide options to customize the look and feel:

  • Layout Style: e.g., carousel, grid, stacked list
  • Colors and fonts: to match your brand
  • Show/hide elements: like reviewer names, ratings, review text, or dates
  • CTA buttons: add buttons such as “Leave a Review” that link to your review collection page

6. Preview Your Widget #

Before publishing, use the preview panel to make sure the widget looks great and displays the reviews you want.

7. Copy the Embed Code #

Once the widget looks good, click Get Embed Code or Copy Code.

8. Paste the Code on Your Website #

Add the widget to your site by pasting the embed code into any HTML area:

  • In a website builder (like WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace), add a custom HTML block and paste the code.
  • In landing pages, embed the code where you want the reviews to appear.
  • On e-commerce platforms, insert into product pages or site footers.

The widget will now load your reviews dynamically wherever it’s embedded.

Tips for Great Widgets #

  • Filter for quality: Show only 4★ and 5★ reviews for maximum impact.
  • Consistent design: Match widget colors to your site’s branding.
  • Mobile responsive: Test the widget on phones and tablets.

Updating Widgets #

Once the widget is embedded, Flexi Review will automatically update it whenever new reviews are synced, so your website always displays fresh social proof without manually updating the code.

Common Questions #

Can I display reviews from several sources in one widget?
Yes — you can generally combine multiple connected review sources in a single widget feed.

Do I need coding skills?
No — you only need to copy and paste the embed code. The widget is responsive and works on most site builders.
